Never underestimate the power of paint. It’s one of the quickest and most gratifying ways to change a room’s appearance, without spending a lot of money. But before you start covering every inch of your walls, check out these creative and unconventional paint jobs that show a lot of restraint, but are all the more interesting for it.
Above, the Melinder family painted their kitchen using three shades of pink to achieve the sun-bleached, dappled effect of stucco. The half-finished look is casual and textured.
