This month, Connecticut-based AKDO debuts Allure, the brand's newest collection of stone tiles. In keeping with the current geometric trend that's been popping up in homes and public spaces across the country and inspired by couture fashion, the line is comprised of four intricate mosaic styles: Enchant, Rug Calcutta, Captivate, and Radiance.
A perfect blend of form and function, the collection also features pieces that are made with hand-cut bits of mirror and channel-cut stone borders done in bronze, pewter, and silver. We won't be surprised if we see them cropping up on kitchen backsplashes, bathroom floors, or as part of an accent wall in a living area or dining room.
The only problem: right now, AKDO is distributing to-the-trade only. That's good news for homeowners using an interior designer. But if you're working on your own, I'm afraid you're out of luck. That is, until you figure out how to create these gorgeous patterns on your own—and share it with us @lonnymag!
