Table runners are one of my favorite go-to tabletop items to make a dinner or brunch look put together really quickly. It adds a pop of color without being too fancy like a full-on tablecloth. So we turned a plain, inexpensive runner into something much cooler to have on hand for our next gathering! See how...
- acrylic paint
- flat paint brush
- ruler
- pencil
Here's how:
1. Measure out 2 inch strips all the way down the runner.
2. For crisp edges, use tape along the sides of the strip. Or you can freehand the stripes if you feel comfortable doing so.
3. Paint each strip in the color order that you'd like.
4. Let dry for 1 hour.
A quick tip: this piece is not meant to be washed in washing machine. You can spot clean with a damp cloth. And, if you want it to be extra durable, you can use fabric paint instead of acrylic paint.
